Candidates must hold a B.Sc. degree in any discipline, provided Chemistry is one of the subjects studied, along with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology at the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) level.

Alternatively, candidates with a B. Pharm. degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are also eligible. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Science subjects at the B.Sc. or B. Pharm. level is required. Please note, qualifications obtained through correspondence or distance education will not be accepted.

Candidates must possess a B.Sc. degree in one of the following disciplines from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Science subjects.

Please note that qualifications obtained through correspondence courses will not be accepted.

Eligible disciplines include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology (with either Physics or Chemistry as one of the subjects),

B.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine from an institute recognized by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB). Only those with a B.Sc. in the aforementioned fields are eligible to apply.

A Common Admission Test (CAT) will be held for both courses, consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions. The syllabus for the test will cover topics from Science subjects, specifically: 1) Physics, 2) Chemistry, and 3) Mathematics or Biology, based on the level of Standard XII or its equivalent. To qualify for the test, candidates must secure at least 50% marks. The CAT is tentatively scheduled for 15th December 2024 and will be conducted at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai – 400094.

The Admit Card will be issued after the application submission deadline has passed. Candidates must log in to their account to download and print their own Admit Card. Entry to the CAT exam will not be permitted without a valid Admit Card. The list of selected candidates will be published on the BARC website (www.recruit.barc.gov.in / www.barc.gov.in). Please note that the CAT exam will be conducted in English.

A merit list will be created for candidates who qualify the CAT exam, and they will be invited for the Counselling Session based on their rank in the list. A separate merit list will be prepared for Sponsored Candidates. The exact date for the counselling session will be announced on the BARC website. Candidates must attend the counselling session in person.

The merit list will remain valid for two months from the start of the course, which is expected to begin in January 2025, pending approval from the relevant authorities.

Additionally, candidates wishing to enroll must undergo a medical examination at the BARC Hospital to assess their fitness and suitability for the course.

For the M.Sc. courses, a monthly stipend of Rs. 18,500 (Rupees Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Only) will be provided to each Non-Sponsored candidate. However, Sponsored candidates will not be eligible for any stipend.

i. The online application portal will be open from 11th November 2024 at 10:00 hours to 25th November 2024 until 23:59 hours on the official BARC website: https://recruit.barc.gov.in.

ii. Applications will only be accepted online for PG Admission in BARC

iii. Candidates must carefully read the instructions provided in the advertisement and the online application form before filling out any details or selecting options.

iv. Before starting the application process, candidates should have all the necessary documents/certificates ready. Applicants must fill in their personal details and upload a recent front-facing passport-size photograph in JPEG format with a size not exceeding 20 KB. Any photograph that does not meet the specifications will lead to the rejection of the application. It is essential to ensure all required details are correctly entered when completing the online form.

v. Candidates must ensure that their photo and signature are clearly visible in the preview during the application process. If the photo or signature appears small or unclear in the preview, it indicates that the photo or signature does not meet the required format, and the application will be rejected. Therefore, it is important to check the visibility and quality of the photo and signature before submission.

vi. Before submitting the application, candidates are advised to verify that all entered details are correct. Ensure that personal information such as name, date of birth, and other critical details match those on the Secondary School Certificate (SSC). Any discrepancies or errors may result in disqualification. Once the application is submitted, no requests for corrections or changes to the information provided will be entertained under any circumstances.
