The National Institute of Technology, Warangal, originally known as the Regional Engineering College, was founded in 1959. The foundation stone was laid by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on October 10, 1959, marking the beginning of the first in a series of 31 NITs (formerly RECs) across the country.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for faculty positions at all levels (Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor), candidates must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and have achieved First Class in their preceding degrees. Those who have earned a Ph.D. directly after completing their B. Tech are also eligible, provided they obtained First Class at the bachelor’s level.

Selection Process
All online applications submitted by the cut-off date for the Rolling Advertisement will be considered for the selection process, which includes scrutiny and shortlisting based on criteria exceeding the cumulative essential credit points or a written test. Additional shortlisting may involve a presentation of teaching and research seminars. Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for a personal interview with the duly constituted selection committee.
