JRF Position in BHU : BHU (Banaras Hindu University) published a short notification for the a post of JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). This project is sponsored by SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board). The project is related to Chemistry department name is ” Design and Synthesis of Some Novel Analogues of FNC (2′-deoxy-2′-β-fluoro-4′-azido-β-D-arabinofuranosyl cytidine) and their Biological Evaluation as Anti-HBV Agents” Under the supervision of Prof. Virendra Parshad.

The project is up to 27th February, 2025.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is a globally esteemed institution of higher learning, located in the sacred city of Varanasi. Spanning 1,300 acres, the main campus of BHU is a blend of tradition and modernity, featuring well-maintained roads, lush greenery, temples, and architecturally stunning buildings. The campus even includes an airstrip, originally used for military flying training during World War II. A second sprawling campus is being developed in Barkachha, Mirzapur, covering 2,700 acres.

BHU comprises six institutes, 14 faculties, and 144 departments, offering a vast array of disciplines across the humanities, social sciences, science, technology, medicine, fine arts, and performing arts. The university also houses specialized centers such as six Centers of Advanced Studies and several research facilities under special assistance programs. Additionally, four degree colleges in the city are affiliated with BHU.

The Bharat Kala Bhavan, the university’s renowned museum, is home to a rich collection of artifacts, while the university hospital, with 927 beds, offers state-of-the-art medical services. BHU provides excellent facilities for sports, cultural activities, and hobbies, including large playgrounds, an auditorium, a flying club, and a range of auxiliary services like a printing press, publication cell, subsidized canteens, and more.

With a vibrant and diverse community of approximately 15,000 students, 1,700 faculty members, and 8,000 non-teaching staff, BHU is a melting pot of cultures and ideas. It attracts students from across the globe, including the USA, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The university fosters an environment of intellectual growth, cultural exchange, and global integration, positioning itself as a microcosm of the world.

PG Degree with 55% Marks with CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE.

Not more then greater then 28 YR.

  • M.Sc. specialization in Organic Chemistry
  • The candidate should have good analytical skills.
  • The knowledge of characterization techniques of organic molecules is desirable
  • Familiar with nucleoside chemistry is also desirable.

Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (as per norms).
