About ITBP :

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is an elite paramilitary force in India, entrusted with the crucial task of safeguarding the nation’s border with China, particularly in the rugged and inhospitable terrain of the Himalayas. Formed in 1962, the ITBP functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs and plays a key role in securing India’s northern frontier, handling border patrols, internal security.

Beyond its role in border defense, the force also provides invaluable assistance in disaster management, responding to natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. Renowned for its rigorous physical training, including endurance drills in extreme altitudes, the ITBP is a key pillar of India’s national security, particularly in the contested regions along the Indo-Tibetan border.

Pay Scale :

Level – 7 in the Pay Matrix Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-

Application Fees :

Rs – 200/- For Gen + OBC Candidate

Female , Ex- Servicemen and candidate of SC,ST are exempted

Education Qualifications :

1. Master’s Degree in Hindi or English with Hindi and Eng. as compulsory or elective subjects or as the medium of examination at the degree level. OR
2. Master Degree in any subject other than Hindi and English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.
