Post Details

Eligibility:

1. The candidate must possess a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale, where applicable) in a relevant, concerned, or allied subject from an accredited Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign institution.
2. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET), which is conducted by either the UGC or CSIR. Exemptions from the NET requirement will be granted as per clauses (ii) and (iii) of the General Notes in the final section of this document.

Alternatively, candidates who meet the following criteria may also be eligible:

3. The candidate holds a Ph.D. degree from a foreign institution that ranks among the top 500 in the world University rankings. The ranking must be based on one of the following recognized ranking systems at any point in time:
   • Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
   • The Times Higher Education (THE)
   • The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghai Jiao Tong University
