About BHU PhD Admission 2025

The Banaras Hindu University offers admission to Doctor of Philosophy/Vidyavaridhi Degree interested candidate read all details carefully before applying.

Admission to the Ph.D. Programs will be made through the following modes

1. Research Entrance Test-Exempted (RET -Exempted): Candidate who qualified JRF
2. Research Entrance Test (RET):
   • Category 1: JRF qualified candidates
   • Category 2: Candidates qualified for Assistant Professorship without JRF and
   • Category 3: Candidates neither qualified for JRF nor for Assistant Professorship but eligible for admission to Ph.D. only.
