About Joint PhD Program:
- Candidates interested in the Joint PhD program between AIIMS Bhopal and MANIT Bhopal can apply to either institution based on their respective announcements.
- The institution to which the candidate applies will be designated as the ‘Primary Institute,’ while the other institution will serve as the ‘Host Institute.’
- Candidates are expected to begin their research and studies at the ‘Primary Institute,’ but they must spend a minimum of 12 months at the ‘Host Institute.’ The timing and duration of this stay will be determined by the research requirements. Travel and study at the ‘Host Institute’ will be based on the specific needs of the PhD research project.
- Those wishing to choose AIIMS Bhopal as their ‘Primary Institute’ should apply in response to this advertisement.
Important Date:
The completed application form, along with the required fees, must be submitted either by Speed Post or in person, no later than 5:00 P.M. on 15th December 2024.

i | For Medical Students: Candidates must hold an MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS, DM, M.Ch, BAMS, BYMS, BHMS, or DNB in the relevant subject. Degrees obtained from institutions not recognized by the Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Nursing Council of India, or the National Medical Commission are not eligible. Candidates must have scored at least 55% (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC) or 50% (SC/ST/PWD) in the last qualifying examination. |
ii | For Nursing Students: Candidates with an M.Sc. in Nursing, recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, are eligible. A minimum of 55% marks (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC) or 50% (SC/ST/PWD) in their Master’s degree is required. |
iii | For Engineering Students: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in the respective discipline with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale, along with a valid GATE score. Alternatively, candidates with a B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan (or equivalent) and a minimum of 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA from an Institute of National Importance or CFTI, along with a valid GATE score, are eligible. |
iv | For Life Science Students: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (minimum two years) in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent institution. A minimum of 55% marks (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC) or 50% (SC/ST/PWD) in the last qualifying examination is required. |
v | For Non-Life Science Students: Candidates with an M.Sc., M. Pharma, M.A. (Psychology), or M.A. in Social Work (Social Sciences) are eligible. A minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 is required. |
vi | Additional Requirements: Candidates must have their own fellowship from a recognized national or state agency (CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/GATE, etc.), or be in-service candidates. |
